The Commanders did not terminate Eric Bieniemy's employment. He was in a state of uncertainty after his interview for the position of head coach. The addition of Dan Quinn and Kliff Kingsbury as offensive coordinators is a recent development.
The news of Kingsbury's hiring as offensive coordinator was announced by the team on X. As stated on the team's website, Bieniemy is in charge of the offense.
Thus, the Commanders' offence is supervised by a duo of coordinators.
During their meeting with the media later today, Quinn and G.M. Adam Peters are expected to address the matter. According to someone familiar with the matter, the squad is currently "working through" Bieniemy's predicament.
